Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake

This coffee cake is amazing! It was moist, and so flavorful! A new favorite!
 
Very good.  I would probably tweak it a little bit next time to my preference like more apples and cinnamon.  I’d probably double the crumble and skip the glaze as well.  Still very good as is.

Delicious and easy! I ended up using less apple because that’s all I had available but it was still delicious! Would definitely make again.

Love this and it is super easy to make!  I highly recommend for anyone that loves apples and cinnamon.  

What do you need to make Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake

Cake:                                                                              

¼ cup butter, room tempurature                                

¾ cup light brown sugar                                              

1 egg                                                                      

½ cup sour cream 

1 teaspoon vanilla                                                                                                          

1 cup flour                                                                       

¾ teaspoon cinnamon                                                 

½ teaspoon baking soda                                             

Dash of salt                                                                   

1 ½ cups green apples, peeled & diced                   

Cream Cheese Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, room tempurature

1 teaspoon vanilla 

3 tablespoons sugar

Streusel Topping:                                                      

¼ cup no salt butter, cold & diced 

¼ cup flour 

¼ cup rolled oats 

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ cup light brown sugar 

1 teaspoon cinnamon      

¼ cup pecans, chopped small

How to make Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake

FIRST STEP:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees – prepare and 8×8 pan with nonstick spray 

Use hand mixer to combine cream cheese filling ingredients – set aside 

SECOND STEP:

Use a fork to mix together streusel topping ingredients – set aside

For the cake use a hand mixer to cream butter and brown sugar

FIRST STEP:

Add in egg, sour cream, and vanilla until well combined 

Stir in flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and and salt

THIRD STEP:

Fold in apples

FOURTH STEP:

Pour evenly into baking dish 

Layer on cream cheese filling 

Sprinkle on streusel topping 

FIFTH STEP:

Bake 35-40 minutes

Let cool 10 minutes
