Authentic Chicken Tetrazzini

Share or Save for Later

This dish is going to wow you! It gives the authentic taste of Tetrazzini, but has half the amount of work put into it. Creamy, loads of cheese and deliciousness all in a one pan comfort food.

My family loves this so much they threaten to bring all their friends over on the night it is planned. Needless to say, I do not let them know in advance what I will be making.

A little bit of interesting Trivia for you, did you know that this dish was actually created in honor of an opera star who debuted at the hotel the chef was working at?

What you will do when you make the recipe for the first time is question who, what, why and wonder about the whole conglomeration of ingredients. This is one of those dishes that once you taste it, you will be hooked for life.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I make Chicken Tetrazzini ahead of time?

Yes, this is a great dish to prepare ahead of time. Follow the recipe exactly, except do not bake. Instead, wrap tightly with plastic wrap or foil and let sit in the refrigerator overnight. It can sit in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When you are ready to bake it, add an extra 15 minutes of baking time.

How do I store any leftovers?

Allow the Chicken Tetrazzini to cool completely, then you cover it with plastic wrap or place the remaining food into an airtight container. It will remain good for three days.

This dish can be served with a simple dinner salad with crunchy croutons, a cool and refreshing cucumber salad with tomatoes and a slice of freshly baked homemade bread. Again, this is a comfort food that you will not forget eating. This is one you are going to want time after time. I do not suggest any variations for this dish. Chicken Tetrazzini should remain as such and not made into what it should not be. Enjoy!
