Baked Bacon Cheese Sliders

Share or Save for Later

Making a large batch of bacon cheeseburger sliders is a great way to feed a hungry crowd or just a few teenagers. This also makes a great after school snack, tasty appetizer or a meal. I am the type that is always looking for an easy recipe to serve appetizers during football season. Actually, any sports season in my home is the right time to have these available. We love sports of all types.

These sliders are made using sweet rolls. This adds another dimension to the taste.

These can be made using a pack of 12 sweet rolls, and a dozen small slider burgers. Then have a wide assortment of toppings available for everyone.

Another point to make, with this recipe, I used ground beef. I crumble it and mix it with other ingredients. I have seen sliders made using whole patties. This is a very common way of eating sliders.

I wanted something different. Again, I do not like to be the common link all the time. Sometimes change is the best prescription that can be written. Feel free to mix up the recipe and make it your way. There is no wrong way to make good sliders. You can always let me know how yours turned out.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do we have to use sweet rolls?

No, you do not. Any type of slider roll will work. You could use potato rolls, sourdough rolls or even dinner rolls.

What type of cheese is recommended?

I prefer sharp cheddar, but you can use American, Swiss, Monterey Jack or Mozzarella. Any flavor of cheese just adds flavor to a burger.

Can I substitute the meat?

Many people use ground turkey or sausage. I know some who have turned these into chicken sliders. There are even ways that they can become suitable for vegetarians, using mushrooms.
