Banana Cinnamon Cupcakes

Made this recipe for my birthday (in 3- 6in rounds) and it was decadent and so yummy. I love cream cheese frosting and the addition of cinnamon was excellent.

Turned out so delicious. Loved the moist banana cake with the cream cheese frosting!!

Excellent, moist cupcake. I ended up with 21 using a level ice cream scoop to portion them. They were perfectly baked at 25 min.

What do you need to make Banana Cinnamon Cupcakes

1 box cinnamon swirl cake/muffin mix – with egg and oil as called for in recipe 

2 bananas, mashed 

1 cup walnuts, chopped 

Cream cheese frosting 

How to make Banana Cinnamon Cupcakes

FIRST STEP:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line muffin tin with papers 

Mix base per recipe instructions on box, set cinnamon swirl packet aside

SECOND STEP:

Stir in mashed bananas and walnuts until well combined

Scoop 1 tablespoon of batter into muffin paper

THIRD STEP:

Sprinkle on cinnamon swirl mix

Add more batter to fill the paper ¾ of the way full 

FOURTH STEP:

Bake 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean

Cool completely

FIFTH STEP:

Fill a piping bag with star tip with cream cheese frosting  

Pipe frosting on each cupcake
