BBQ Pulled Slow Cooked Pork Sandwiches

This was my first foray into cooking with a slow cooker, let alone making pulled pork.

The recipe was so easy to approach but the end result was AMAZING! So juicy, tender, and flavorful

The meat literally fell apart. Best BBQ Pulled Pork!

I really liked this compared to other Slow Cooker pulled pork recipes as it had plenty of spices – most just have BBQ sauce and mustard powder.

Best pulled pork ever!! I made this for my husband for Father’s Day. Everyone loved it. Will definitely make this again.

What do you need to make BBQ Pulled Slow Cooked Pork Sandwiches

2lb pork shoulder

1 tbsp vegetable oil

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp ground cumin

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp ground black pepper

2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp mustard powder

1 tsp salt

½ cup apple cider vinegar

½ cup chicken broth

4 hamburger buns, halved

How to make BBQ Pulled Slow Cooked Pork Sandwiches

FIRST STEP:

In a bowl combine the brown sugar, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, salt, black pepper and smoked paprika.

SECOND STEP:

Rub the pork shoulder with vegetable oil then add the spice blend to the meat.

THIRD STEP:

Place the BBQ pork shoulder into a slow cooker, pour in the apple cider vinegar and chicken broth.

Cover the lid and set to HIGH, cook for 6 hours.

FOURTH STEP:

Shred the BBQ pulled slow cooked pork using two forks.

Serve the pulled pork with barbeque sauce inside the hamburger buns.
