I am not going to lie to you here. There are easier ways to make this delicious Honey Mustard Chicken. However, like so many others, it will taste like it came from a jar. What you really want people to taste is the hard work you put into making this dish. Even though this recipe nor the preparation will even cause you to break into a sweat.

Yes, authentic honey mustard, handmade so it tastes the best, Seared chicken breast doused in butter and honey mustard then cooked until it is perfect.

I strongly urge you to use boneless chicken breasts. If possible buy them thick and slice  them in half. You do not want too thick of chicken. You want a perfect combination of both  so that all the flavor can be tasted.

This baked Honey mustard Chicken is an easy go to meal during the busy weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Does Chicken take a long time to cook?

Depending on the size of the chicken, it usually takes about 20 to 25 minutes to bake. Use a thermometer to check for an internal temp of 165*. Once the chicken reaches that, you can eat it.

Does this dish take a long time to cook since it is covered in honey mustard?

My dish is made from scratch, meaning all homemade. However, it will only take 7 minutes longer than if you used already prepared products.

What other vegetable could I make with this dish?

I would suggest trying carrots with this dish.

Can I use premade sauce?

Ouch! Yes, that hurts!  You could, however, I feel I need to reiterate that my homemade sauce only takes a few minutes to whip up and have it prepared.

What ingredients do you need for Chicken With Honey Mustard

1 pound of boneless chicken breast, cut thin

            4 tbsp honey

            2 cloves fresh garlic, minced

1 bunch asparagus, cut the ends off

How to make Chicken With Honey Mustard

FIRST STEP:

Preheat the oven to 400*

In a small bowl mix together the mustard, garlic and honey, save some for serving

SECOND STEP:

Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray

Toss the asparagus with a little of the honey mustard and place into the baking dish

THIRD STEP:

Place the chicken on top of the vegetables and spread some of the sauce on the top of the chicken

Notes:

The asparagus can be swapped out with other vegetables of your choice. Carrots work well with this dish, as does broccoli and cauliflower. This is a simple and fast put together dinner that the family and all who get the pleasure of tasting it will thoroughly enjoy.

You can also use other cuts of chicken, I prefer the boneless and skinless breasts, but boneless thighs can be just as tasty. If you want to try, you could purchase a bulk pack of drumsticks and wings and cook them up using the sauce recipe. There may be many other variations you can try. Let us know how they turn out.
