Cinnamon Roll Casserole

Share or Save for Later

This is probably the best dessert or breakfast I have ever had using my crock pot. And guys, I am so serious here, it only takes a few minutes to prepare. Preparing cinnamon rolls has never been easier or tasted better.

This casserole is going to cook up the way you expect cinnamon rolls to be, slightly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.

When I was growing up, cinnamon rolls were a treat. We did not get them all the time. Of course, this was mainly because my mom believed in making all food from scratch! I will never fault her for that. Food doesn’t taste the same coming from a box or a can.

However, I am not as talented as my mom and I still wanted the taste of warm gooey cinnamon rolls. So when I saw this I was reminded of a recipe I had found years earlier. After much searching I found it, and today, you all get to have this wonderful yum!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to cut each roll into 4 pieces?

I have honestly never done it in any other way. I believe this is the best way because you can stir all the ingredients together easier.

How do I store this dish?

You know what? I cheat, I take the crock out of my crock pot and place it directly in the refrigerator. However, I realize not everyone can do that, so what you should do is place the remaining casserole into an airtight container and then place it in the refrigerator. It will last for up to 4 days.

Can I freeze what is left?

I was not happy with the texture when I tried this. The whipping cream seemed to curdle a little bit. I may be wrong, but I have not tried it since.
