If you are unsure about making wings in the Crockpot because of the texture, you’ll be happy to see that we finish all of our wing recipes in the oven. It helps to give the outer shell a little char, and crispiness.

These wings don’t get hard like a deep fried wing, if that’s what you are after you’ll want to cook the wings without sauce, cook them in the oven to broil them and make them crispy, and then add the sauce after the fact.
I like that making honey garlic chicken wings in the Crockpot makes them a bit healthier. Wings are not the most healthy food so when we do make them I like to know that I can lighten them up a bit!

This recipe uses only 6 ingredients. You’ll likely have most of them on hand already! Add in some frozen chicken wings and the sauce and you’ll have a delicious meal that you can’t beat!
You’ll need some chicken wings, some salt and pepper, honey, vegetable oil, ketchup, and garlic! There’s nothing fancy but the end result is so saucy and delicious.
Honey garlic chicken wings might be my favorite flavor, they’re unique and delicious. Broiling the wings at the end makes them just sticky enough to make your fingers and face a classic wing mess!

How to make honey garlic wings in the slow cooker:
Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
Season the wings with the salt and pepper and place the chicken in the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together the honey, oil, ketchup, and garlic. Pour the honey mixture evenly over the wings.
Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 4-5 more hours or until the chicken is cooked through.

Set the oven to broil. Line a baking sheet with foil. Using a slotted spoon or fork, place the chicken on the pan. Broil the tops of chicken 3 inches from heat 3 to 4 minutes or until browned, turning halfway through broiling time. Serve with remaining sauce for dipping.

Can you replace wings with chicken breast? If yes does that change the cook time

I've not made this recipe with breasts so I'm not sure how much it would impact the cooking time. I would think you would need to keep checking them to be sure they reach 165F internal !
