Here’s what you’ll need to make these Crockpot cheesy potatoes:
There’s nothing super complicated or fancy going on here. These cheesy potatoes in the Crockpot are very simple. We will be taking regular, average, ingredients and elevating them to superstar status!
First you’ll need to start with some russet potatoes. They’re the best for holding up while also cooking softly enough to be smooth!

We will also be using onions, cubed cooked ham, cream of mushroom soup, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, and pepper to taste!
It’s just simple ingredients that come together to create something awesome that everyone will devour.
How to make cheesy potatoes in the slow cooker:
Spray insert of a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mix potatoes, onion, and ham.
In a medium bowl mix the soup, milk, and pepper. and pour over the potato mixture.

Spoon potatoes, ham, and onions into a slow cooker and pour soup mixture on top.
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over everything.
Cover and cook on the high setting for 3 to 4 hours or until the potatoes are tender. Gently stir the potatoes before serving.

- 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped

- ¼ teaspoon pepper

I don't think most cream soups are gluten free? So this shouldn't be labeled as a gluten free recipe.

What could be substituted for the cream of mushroom? We do not like mushrooms or cream of mushroom soup. I generally just sub with cream of chicken so I would think that would be okay. Thoughts?

You could use any "cream of" style soup and it would be fine I think!!
