Roasted Chicken Recipe
Gathering together with your family for a weekend meal is a tradition many of us continue well after our children are grown and out of the house.
Sitting down with your spouse, kids, grandkids, or even just neighborhood friends and sharing a meal is a special experience.
For that event, you need a yummy and equally special meal. A roasted chicken dinner is a perfect solution.
Tender pieces of chicken are served alongside slow-cooked potatoes and classic carrots, onions, and squash for a complete meal you can prepare in the slow cooker while you are at church on Sunday morning.
What Should I Serve with Roasted Chicken?
This recipe includes the classic potatoes and carrots that I have always served with a roasted chicken.
I also included some squash, as it is such a wonderful vegetable that fits with almost any meal.
You could easily add in celery, onion, or even sweet potatoes to go alongside this roasted chicken recipe.
Can I Use a Poultry Seasoning Blend on this Chicken?
If you have favorite poultry or chicken seasoning blend, you can definitely substitute it in place of the spice blend I have listed.
While I love my blend of spices, I know there are some amazing blends on the market that others may prefer for this recipe.
