A light and refreshing cake that tastes just like the treat you remember.
Those hot summer days when the ice cream truck came driving down the road and you ran out to get your favorite Orange Creamsicle, is even easier now since you do not have to wait t=for the truck. Although this is not frozen, it tastes just as great, if not better.
This cake is super easy to make, and yes, there are likely variations, I prefer to stick with my favorite Orange flavor.
This Orange Creamsicle Poke cake could start a new tradition in your home and your neighborhood, once the neighbor kids get a taste!
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I store this cake?
This cake can sit on your counter, as long as it is covered tightly. I prefer to keep mine covered and in the refrigerator. The cold cake makes it taste much more like the classic Orange Creamsicle.
Can I freeze this cake?
You could, but you would need to do so before you add the frosting to it. Frosting just goes through a texture difference when it thaws.
