It is a tasty dish, slightly habit forming and yet very easy to make. This dish is simply pasta with tomatoes, garlic and herbs and believe me when I say it is extremely popular!

This is a true authentic Italian pasta dish.

Cooked in a combination of white wine and juice from the diced tomatoes, then seasoned perfectly with Italian seasoning, basil and tomatoes, this dish is bursting with flavor.

There are many possibilities that could answer this, however, it is believed that they are cooked using wine. However, it should be noted, there is no alcohol remaining once the dish is fully cooked. Another possibility is that the cook happened to drink more wine than what was used in the recipe and he was drunk.

The noodles should be placed into an airtight container and placed in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

            Can I use a different meat with this dish?

You could try another variety of sausage, you could use ground chicken or turkey or even ground beef. All of these are likely to create a wonderful flavor.

What do you need to make Drunken Italian Noodles

            12 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package directions

            1 pound ground Italian Sausage

            1 yellow bell pepper, diced

            1 red bell pepper, diced

            1 tsp Italian Seasoning

            2 tsp garlic, freshly minced

            1 large, 28 ounce can of diced tomatoes, UNdrained

            1 tbsp basil, dried

            ½ cup white cooking wine

            Salt and pepper, if desired

            Parmesan Cheese, shredded, for garnish

            Parsley, for garnish

How to make Drunken Italian Noodles

FIRST STEP:

Add the meat and peppers into a skillet over medium high heat

Cook until meat is thoroughly cooked and peppers begin to soften

Lower the heat and add in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, Saute for 30 seconds

Add in the white cooking wine and saute until the liquid is cut in half

SECOND STEP:

Pour the tomatoes with the juice into the skillet, add in the dried basil, salt and pepper

THIRD STEP:

Stir to combine well

Add in the cooked egg noodles and continue to cook until heated through

Top with Parmesan Cheese and Parsley
