Peach Dumplings

Share or Save for Later

This is one of those treats, desserts that are perfect for any occasion. They are the perfect combination of carbs, sweetness and summertime taste.

Yes, I said it, there is nothing wrong with a summertime dessert in the winter. It may actually make it easier to deal with the cold temperatures much of the world experiences.

This recipe is actually quite versatile. You could switch it up and add in different fruit, other than peaches, if you wanted.

I, personally, cannot think of anything more perfect than a peach dumpling.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Should I use fresh peaches or canned?

Honestly, either one will work for this recipe, but we do know that fresh fruit always tastes better. If you cannot get your hands on fresh, then definitely use canned peaches. This will also save some time.

The recipe calls for Sprite, can I use a different soda?

Yes, anything with a citrus type flavor will work. This could be 7-up, Sprite, Mountain Dew or even the store brand versions of lemon lime soda, or citrusy like Mountain Dew, or even Squirt can work for this recipe.

Is it best to use vanilla ice cream or whipped topping?

Oh, please!  Both will be perfect for me! You can use whichever or both, to suit your tastes.

            How do I store these?

Place them in an airtight container and then into your refrigerator for up to 3 days. However, do not expect them to last that long.
