Your ingredients are simple, marshmallows, Kraft caramels, Sweetened condensed milk and of course the Rice Krispie cereal. Now, to be honest, I have used different brands of the ingredients and they work just as well.

Feel free to use what you have on hand, or just go shopping for the items listed.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to use actual Rice Krispies?

No, but honestly, I have found that the Rice Krispies cereal is crispier and does not soak up other ingredients and get soggy.

What makes this recipe so good?

Well, the flavor alone is enough to win over the pickiest eater! These treats are also unique and really not all that difficult to make. Plus, everyone enjoys them!

            Can I use miniature Marshmallows?

You certainly could, however, I do recommend using the large marshmallows. Be sure they are super fresh!

How should these treats be stored?

To keep the ideal chewy texture, keep the Caramel Flavored Rice Krispie Balls in an airtight container for up to one week in the refrigerator. Trust me, they will not last that long however!

What do you need to make Rice Krispie Caramel Marshmallow Balls

            1 bag, 16 ounces Caramels(I prefer Kraft)

            1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

            1.5 bags of Large marshmallows

1 cup butter, unsalted is best

1 box, approximately 6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal

How to make Rice Krispie Caramel Marshmallow Balls

FIRST STEP:

Unwrap each of the caramels and place into a large microwave safe bowl

Add in the butter and the sweetened condensed milk and place the bowl into the microwave.

Heat for 30 seconds, stir the ingredients, continue to heat on 30 second intervals until the ingredients are melted together and smooth

SECOND STEP:

Using a skewer to hold the marshmallow, dip each marshmallow into the caramel mixture. You could also use your fingers to hold the marshmallow and dip it.

Immediately roll the marshmallow into the cereal mixture and place it on a parchment lined cookie tray.

THIRD STEP:

Set the tray aside and allow the treats to set. This will take at least an hour for a complete set.

Once set, the treats can be placed into an airtight container and stored in the refrigerator or on the counter.

Enjoy!
