Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Share or Save for Later

Baked beans are one of those side dishes that most people either love immensely or hate with a passion. I found a method of making them that has turned the opinion of many to enjoying the taste.

Beans are a healthy choice for fiber in the diet. There are so many varieties that are available now. Follow the package directions for cooking if you choose to make these completely homemade.

Of course, since I like the easiest method to make recipes. There is truly too little time in my day. So the easier the recipe, the happier that I am. You will see that I have opted to use canned baked beans to begin with. The taste will be jazzed up so that no one knows they are from a can. These beans are cooked slowly and long in brown sugar and bacon until they taste like perfection.

There is another version of this recipe that is even easier to make for friends and family. It is so simple all you need is two large cans of Country Style beans with bacon. Drain the juice from the can into a pan, stir in ¼ cup of brown sugar. Add in some fresh cooked and chopped bacon and one pound of ground beef and you have a whole meal.

When you want a very easy dinner idea, brown up some ground beef and mix it in with the beans in the crock pot. Let it cook as stated in the recipe. I admit there are so many different versions of baked beans it is mind boggling. You need to choose one that will make people say Yummy!

Whichever recipe you ultimately decide on, I ask that you try this easy version first. Not only will you fall in love with baked beans, you will save yourself a whole lot of time. You will not have to make any other recipes.

This is the perfect dish to bring to potluck dinners, picnics or even work meetings. You will be the boss’s favorite employee.
