Today we’ll be making a delicious Crockpot version of a classic family favorite! This slow cooker chicken cordon bleu soup is so tasty and simple!

Making soups and casseroles in the slow cooker is a favorite of mine. When the weather cools down I like to break out the crockpot and whip up some classics. Cream of mushroom soup, chili, and even tomato soup are delicious to make in the slow cooker.

What will I need to make this delicious Crockpot recipe?

You will need a regular sized Crockpot. I use a variety of slow cookers for different recipes. This one about a 6 or 8 quart crockpot will work best. If you plan to double the recipe you’ll definitely want an 8 quart Crockpot!

You can also use slow cooker liners for this recipe. It makes for a really easy cleanup situation, box up the leftovers and throw away the liner! Woohoo for an easy meal and a simple night without big dishes!

You’ll find all of the classic chicken cordon bleu ingredients in this crockpot version! This is more of a casserole than a true soup recipe so keep that in mind. It won’t be runny, it will be cheesy, gooey, and delicious though!

You will need boneless skinless chicken breasts, ham lunchmeat, cream of chicken soup, instant stuffing, butter, milk, and shredded Swiss cheese. I usually like a block of Swiss and then I just shred it up. If you can find it already shredded, excellent!

Here’s how to make the easiest chicken cordon bleu recipe! The great thing about making slow cooker chicken cordon bleu is that you can set it and forget it. There’s no need to hover over this one or manage it after it’s set to cooking!

Prepare your chicken by cutting it into bite sized pieces.  

In a bowl, melt the butter.  Combine the cream of soup with the butter.  

Pour a bit of the soup mix into the bottom of the crock pot to cover.  

Add your chicken over the soup mix in the crock pot.  

Cut the lunchmeat into bite sized pieces.  Add half of the ham on top of the chicken.  

Top with 1 cup of swiss cheese. 

Add ½ a box of stuffing on top of the cheese.

Layer the remaining ham, cheese and stuffing.

Add 1 cup of milk to the remaining soup mixture.  

Pour over the dinner.  

Cover and cook for 4 hours on low.

  • 10.75 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 box of instant stuffing
