Making slow cooker mac and cheese with bacon is so easy. The recipe comes out perfectly every time and there’s usually zero leftovers. This is the kind of comfort food staple that gets devoured in our house.

We love to make smoked recipes as well, so whenever we have something on the BBQ grill or smoker I make a batch fo this delicious and simple mac and cheese to go along with it!

This is a pretty simple and standard combination for mac and cheese. Hopefully all of these ingredients are easy to find near you so that you can try this one out for yourself.
From the pantry we will need uncooked pasta, any type will work, evaporated milk, Ragu cheddar cheese sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and Dijon Mustard.

The fresh ingredients we’ll need are butter, half and half, pepper jack and mozzarella cheese, and applewood smoked bacon. If you have allergies, need to make substitutions, or just don’t like certain things…feel free to swap them out. This recipe is pretty forgiving so as long as the liquid to pasta ratio stays the same it should come out fine!
How to make slow cooker mac and cheese:
Now let’s take a look at how to make this deliciously simple Crockpot recipe. You know I love Crockpots…I guess we all do! They take the work out of almost any type of recipe. There’s very little monitoring involved and that’s what I love most!

Combine the shredded cheese in a bowl and set aside.
Cook macaroni on stove top according to directions. Cook on the lowest recommend time or al dente. Spray slow cooker insert with cooking oil. Add macaroni and butter. Stir until butter melts.
Stir in the evaporated milk, half and half, cheese sauce, all but 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese, mustard, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Secure the slow cooker lid and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring every 45 minutes. Serve in individual bowls and top with a sprinkle of the remaining shredded cheese and the bacon.

- 1 ½ cups half and half
- 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
