Taco Pizza

I made this tonight and it was awesome!! My husband, 8 year old, and 18 month old all loved it. 

Yes this is a cold taco pizza. We love it that way! If you prefer a hot or warm version, you can try and see what works for you. 

 You can make yours low fat by using fat free cream cheese fat free sour cream, low fat crescent rolls and low fat shredded cheese.

What do you need to make Taco Pizza

1lb ground beef

1 tbsp taco seasoning

1 large plain pizza base

2 cups refried beans

1 cup tomato salsa

2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

¼ cup sour cream

¼ cup green onions, thinly sliced 

How to make Taco Pizza

FIRST STEP:

Preheat an oven to 375F and place a skillet on medium heat.

Into the skillet add the ground beef and taco seasoning, brown the beef for 5 minutes then transfer into a bowl and set aside.

SECOND STEP:

Place the pizza base onto a pizza pan or baking tray.

Spread the refried beans and ½ cup tomato salsa onto the pizza base.

THIRD STEP:

Then add the browned beef onto the pizza and spread into an even layer, top with the shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake the taco pizza in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.

FOURTH STEP:

Remove the pizza from the oven and top with the remaining tomato salsa, sour cream and green onions, serve the taco pizza straight away.

I have a question about the taco pizza. What do you use for your pizza base? it looks like a premade crust but not sure or tortilla?
